Community Grant Program
Communities are struggling to find mental health providers.
social and economic factors, along with the insurance environment, have led to a critical deficit in services.
The Lois Price Spratlen Foundation is currently re-evaluating its Community Grant Program to better address the shortage of mental health providers.
Past Community Grant Recipients
Seattle Central College Nursing Program
2021 Community Grant Recipient
Our 2021 Community Grant was presented to Seattle Central College Nursing Program Dean Vicky Hertig during our 2021 Gala. The purpose of the $2,000 grant is to support nursing students who might be considering continuing their education through an advanced practice psychiatric nursing degree. Our goal is to partner with other organizations that we believe can increase the diversity of students enrolled in Washington State Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing programs.
The Healing Field
2018 Community Grant Recipient
The Lois Price Spratlen Foundation is proud to award the 2018 Community Grant to The Healing Field, which provides support for Mt. Tahoma Sanctuary.
The Sanctuary answers a critical and immediate need in our community for affordable housing solutions that actively support physical, mental and spiritual recovery for individuals who have experienced one or more acute psychiatric episodes. The Sanctuary provides a sustainable nurturing environment, allowing residents to fulfill their potential.
